Hello All!

Well, i just installed a nice usb loader setup and i'm quite happy about it. My only problem is that i have to plug the hdd in the usb slot AFTER launching the usb loader.

Meaning I have to plug it off and on again when i switch games. It's not a big problem for me but it is for my girlfriend

Im really curious as to which make and model drive you are talking about.
Does it happen to be a Seagate Freeagent go?
I have one and it does the same thing as you described.

Its an unknown asian brand ... So i checked the compatibility list and i have seen this adapter was working (http://tinyurl.com/nw5jnc). As i own one i tried it but same result.
That's why i thought of some config/cios issue ;-)

If someone knows a 100% working hdd i'd be interrested

Just check this:

In my case, i use to have a Iomega Prestige Portable Hard Drive 500gb that behaved badly.
The disk is not recognized most of the time.

Since I have bought a Western Digital My Passport Essential 2.5" 500GB External HDD, and I am very happy with it.

But you can pick another disk from the list
