no one mentioned crisis core yet? it's the best game i've played on the psp so far

I find Crisis Core repetitive and boring :\ . Though the graphics are nice and missions makes it long, the actual story is pretty short.

For my game of choice, I say Wild Arms XF. Very good SRPG, in which you mainly build a balanced team for the story battles rather than a brute forced army like most games of the genre. People find this game kind of difficult though, due to the fact that each story battles requires you to plan a good strategy, and the accuracy system is so unforgiving. I often missed targets at like 80%+ . It's understandable when it's 60%-75%, but missing with a 95% hit chance X_X ?
