Hacking Question Errors frequently appear on Switch

I have a Nintendo Switch original, running Atmosphere. It has been malfunctioning since yesterday. It started when I was transferring games (had a couple of 128gb’s, integrated them on a 512gb) I transferred using the long method, since I don’t have access to a pc (transfer to internal switch storage then to memory card. There were times that during transfer an error would appear - error 2002-2079 and stop the transfer. I would just restart and the transfer would continue but it keeps coming back from time to time.. I also tried different sd cards but the error still appears.

now when using my Switch an error would appear, and crash the game. The message goes: panic occurred while running Atmosphere

That is a very bad sign. The SD card reader is on a separate board joined to the mainboard with a connector, seems that connector has been damaged. Better hope it's the reader side of the connector that's damaged because soldering a new connector on the mainboard is tricky.

1-bit mode is not supported at all in HOS although Hekate supports it. So while it may work fine in Hekate it would definitely cause issues in HOS.

It could however be the flexprint/reader module itself.

They need to open the console and take a zoomed pic of the connector onboard.

Replacing it would require reflowing at a specialist.

The error message is pretty self-explanatory. Your SD card connector is detached and/or broken. The only way to fix it is by replacing it.
