I had downgraded my Switch back to 6.0.0 fw after accidentally upgrading to 8.0.0 earlier, and now I can’t boot normally without having to go into RCM mode. I tried restarting with stock fw using Hekate, and I just get a blank screen. I’ve tried launching CFW and I gg this error. I can’t think of any way to bypass this. Any help?

I can only boot into Hekate, and that’s about it

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Choidujour only support up to 6.1.0 I think, can you boot into Atmosphere/ReiNX etc?

You can probably try reiNX if you haven't tried that, there is support for below 7.0.1, you never made any NAND backup?

Go to tools in Hekate and do the restore there, but first see if you can boot either ReiNX or SX OS, if you can maybe you can use choidujourNX to update back to 8.0.0.
How would I be able to restore? Do I just drop the folders back to the root of my SD card? Because I’ve tried and it hasn’t really worked out

Ignore everything in this thread other than my post.

To fix:

Boot Fusse-Primary, not Hekate.

As soon as you see the Nintendo logo, PRESS AND HOLD volume up and volume down. You do this when you see the simple Nintendo logo, not the full Nintendo Switch logo.

If you get the button timing right, Maintenance Mode will boot. Release the volume buttons. Select 'Initialize Console Without Deleting Save Data'.

The console will reboot. You will be able to use your system like normal now, but you will have to reinstall your games.

The error you are experiencing is caused by your console having settings data from a newer system software version than the version that is currently running on the Switch. The system crashes as a result.

An Error 2000-0000 popping up immediately after the Nintendo Switch logo on a system that was just downgraded is always a 'settings data is too new' issue, and the steps above will fix it.

Np! Wish the SDSetup folks, the people that wrote the downgrade guide that everyone follows would put the stuff I posted in their guide.....would have saved you (and a lot of other people) a lot of time.

Instead they tell people to copy over a Hekate INI that isn’t even valid for current versions of Hekate. They are clueless.

Their actual solution for the problem you were experiencing is to wipe all of the user data using Choi, but screw that. That just makes you lose your saves solely because the SDSetup people don’t know that Maintenance Mode exists.

One of my friends has the same issue, but whenever he boots, it never gets past the Nintendo logo. It just gets to it and then turns black
