So, the banning is legit. Not a problem with the servers itself?
re read the original thread, what the fuck. nintendo why!!

So can someone answer a few questions for me?

1 - Is going from .3dz to .3ds as simple as changing the extension? Or do you have to do more than that?
2 - If I change all my games from .3dz to .3ds then I wont be able to go online even accidentaly? Or will it still let me?
3 - Why is .3dz for online and .3ds for offline? Why have 2? why not just have 1 that does both?
4 - When is header accessed? Only when trying to connect to nintendo servers? Or is it accessed at game launch and is logged then?

Thanks

1. Yes

2. You won't be able to access online features in the game.

3. Not sure, 3dz can be played online and offline.

4. Can't really help with this one, I haven't messed with headers enough to find out. If you can open the game with an invalid header, its checked when you try to access online features.

so using your own headers is fine?

So far all reports on gbatemp were coming from users who used public headers. No one using private headers or .cia files got banned yet.

That's all we know, there's no definitive answer if it's really safe.

If Nintendo starts to cross check purchase histories with installed games, .cia users might get trouble.

If Nintendo logs the use of headers and notices that the same private header shows up for different titles, users of private headers might get trouble.

It's all speculation, the best we can do is wait for Nintendo's reply to shamzie.

There's something i want to suggest to solve this thing. we need to find this information to arrive our conclusion. More like a mystery files then we deliberate.

1.) Where do you get your roms, as you can see, some of the users get banned and some are not.
2.) What course of action do you take why you get banned?
3.) SYSNAND and EMUNAND used when you get banned?
4.) Console of region used.
5.) Region of game used
6.) 3DS rom Filetype: CIA, 3DS, 3DZ
7.) Time and day you get banned.
8.) Version of Gateway you used.
9.) Private header or Public Header

I think these pieces of information from the banned users can help us how we can pinpoint why flashcart users get banned.

We can't discuss that kind of information. The only thing that needs to be collected are what card's were used, did they use a public header or private header, cia/3ds/3dz rom?

Am I the only one that's kind of afraid that Nintendo MIGHT be reading this thread right now ...

A reply from Gateway, it says the following:-

"We are investigating, we will issue a statement once the answer is clear."

Hope that they get a solution as soon as possible.

And what was the question??

My question from them was this:-

"Do you know that what is the error 002-0102 showing as some people are complaining? Is it true that Nintendo have started banning people? What should we do now to play the games online?"
