I am on 11-8-00-48-U

I used the frogminer guide

And everything went perfectly until step 12

12: Wait for it to say "Done!" Exit b9sTool and power off your 3DS
  • You may need to force power off by holding the power button

It went ahead and launched Luma, i turned the power off thinking it wouldn't work if i continued without powering off...

now whenever i turn on my system it makes me unwrap Sub steel diving wars (The game i am booting through) like it's a new download

And then i get an error when i try to start the game

An exception has occurred
processor : Arm11
Exception type : data abort

I have tried
deleting 0000008f
Replacing the boot.firm
going into the menu and selecting update and then re-starting it

Also my 3ds won't turn on without its SD card, which may be normal and i never noticed

I honestly am pretty bad with this stuff, it could be a really easy fix and i am just missing it, so i am sorry if i am wasting anyone's time,
That being said i would really appreciate some help~

After the first steps to the guide, use this the next page called Finalizing Steps. I can't post URLs, but it should at be the bottom of the first page you used to get to that page.
You no longer need sub steel diving wars, so ignore the game. You will launch using the download play app. Section III Step 1 is where you need to start.

@Rararia,
  1. Remove and reinsert your 3DS battery to reset RAM memory.
  2. Copy everything off your SD card onto a computer.
  3. Reformat the card as FAT32 + 32 KB cluster size using Windows File Explorer or guiformat.
  4. While it is empty, do a Full Write + Verify Test with H2testw. This part is super important so don't skip it.
  5. If the card passes, delete the *.h2w test files.
    • If there was any error reported, you may stop the test. Your faulty or fake card cannot be fixed and needs to be replace. Go back to step 2 or 3 for your replacement card.
  6. Build a test CFW setup to check your 3DS. Use the starter kit found here.
    • In that post, read what settings you should avoid using in Luma3DS v9.1 configuration.
    • Don't use files from your main setup until you've determined nothing else is wrong with the 3DS.
  7. If the 3DS functions correctly with the test setup, go ahead in the Finalizing Setup.
    • In order to boot the 3DS without an SD card, you'll need to complete the CTRNAND Luma3DS section.
    • If you don't like living your 3DS living life on the razor's edge, you should Backup Essential Files and put them somewhere safe your computer/external drive.

I had the same issue and user Giodude (on another post) suggested placing boot.3dsx in the root folder of the SD Card. Hope that helps. It may also be another missing file.
