it works , but game stops when you use limit skills (on clean rom). i will try on patched one now.

Ack, I wasn't able to get it to work.

You put all the files in from "DSTT Firmware 1.17a12sp8" onto the SD card, then the patched rom? I still get the errcode=-4 message.

You don't need that firmware , just the latest from retro , extinfo.dat , infolib.dat and replace them into your ttmenu folder - they are the updates for the firmware

Thanks drwhojan~ The only reason I ever bought a DS was for Etrian Odyssey.

By the way, is it possible to get rid of the intro the patch adds? I tried hex editing out the intro but then the game stops loading.

Do you mean the patched version of the rom with a funny intro ?, You can use the clean version - they is a way if that is the case you just need the intro remove hex and offsets
