Hacking Emunand Latest Update

Hi,

Its been almost a year since i used my 3ds, i wanted to play Monster hunter Generation (CIA Version) online but i need to update my emunand , my sysnand is on 4.5.0-8E and emunand on 11.2.0-35E.

Can i update the emunuand ? or is there smth i should know before doing so?

i do have a gateway card but with freeshop and FBI, it might not be of use anymore

Just go ahead and hack your 3ds the proper way
Idk what Emunand you have so idk if you can update.

I'm also running an old Gateway hack on my japanese new 3ds xl. I've set up an european emunand ages ago and it was very finicky and not very clean.
I would like to start fresh, is there any way to switch regions in the process?

Idk how to do it on emunand, but CTRTransfer can switch your sysnand region (I think). But first "hack" your 3ds with luma.

Thanks for the proposition but i had a hard time setting up my 3ds with emunand plus it works so i dont really want to try anything else

First of all always make sure to back up ur emunand

tried updating from settings and i had a black screen when booted into emunand mode, luckily i backed up my emunand.

i ll keep searching and update here if i find anything

What emunand = reinand (I think that that is some sort of emunand), luma emunand, gateway emunand

i was able to update to 11.6.0-39E and am able to play online

the post explains for the US but its the same for EU, you just need the EU file and its linked in the post.

Here's what i followed (Thanks to dsmalls for clarifying)
Tutorial:
1: Copy complete content to SD/microSD card (Console; not the one in Gateway)
2: Boot into GATEWAY emuNAND
3: install sysUpdater v0.4.2.cia
3b: start sysUpdater and press Y . Wait until process has been finished....
3c: Switch off console, and delete folder updates from your SD/microSD card ---> rename updates (update!) to updates
3d: Boot into GATEWAY emuNAND ---> start sysUpdater ---> press A ---> Wait until process has been finished....
4: emuNAND is now updated to 11.6.0-39. HBL Loader included. (no internet connection necessary)

So now my sysnand is 4.5 and emunand is 11.6 plus the gateway still works also am playing online using a cia version of the game not .3ds
