I'll be going on a very long flight.

I plan to buy an emergency charger, the one where you have to use the 4 AAA batteries.

I just want to know what people think of them, or if they used one, how did it work out? merits, demerits, etc.

Thanks for the input.

I think you should always be skeptical about third-party hardware.
But I'm planning to get one myself also, they're sure handy.

This is one for the NDS (not lite). I don't know any sellers that have one for the NDS Lite, but I saw one on ebay.

I just don't want one that would blow up in my face or leak acid when i'm playing

i used build them also but one day i thought hey CR123 3v x 2 instead of 4x AA made it then plugged it in and blew my charger port fuse... beleive i wired my L7805 wrong since the AA backup worked fine...

anyhow ever since then i kinda cant experiment... and afraid to use my AA chargers even seeing how theres no fuse to save me this time.

oh i hope your NDS charger doesnt cause a bomb scare at your airport lol, heard someone with a broken ipod encased in a altoid can caused quite a scare.

I think I always see 110V American styled plug in lavatories in airplanes. They are for the shavers. Can you use it to charge your DS? But I find it rather boring to sit in on the toilet doing nothing. Do it while doing no. 2

i would just pay the extra cash for a battery grip extender it a add on for you nds lite that makes it easier to hold and it has its own battery so it doubles your dsl battery life.

# Ergonomic design provides user with a more comfortable, less strenuous grip, enabling longer gaming sessions.
# Existing DS lite AC adapter simultaneously charges handheld and Charger Grip.
