Phat have its advantages, but screen is not one of them. I prefer the d-pad/buttons on Phat compared to Lite.

SD, or NAND based cards take up more power, load slower and or are less compatible with games than NOR-flash based cards.

SD based cards have to have a controller, as SD is serial whereas the GBA bus is parallel. More hardware = Less battery life. SD cards / NAND flash has an awfully slow responce time compared to NOR. To load, games mut be copied to Volatile RAM, which takes time, and RAM performs less well than NOR flash - meaning games have to be patched to make them run in some cases.
