Well I mean launch two or more apps in different channels. i.e two or more dols in channels. I just tried Mplayer, worked but got a code dump when I tried to exit. Many Thanks for all your efforts.

Do you mean specific Forwarders for specific apps (like the GeeXboX example)? If so, tell me what you want and I can compile a version for you.

The Code Dump on exiting in MPlayer is because it tries to go back to HBC, but the HBC is not loaded before. Go here to get a version that restarts the Wii instead of going back to HBC.

I wanted a more up-to-date version of MPlayer (as a Channel), one that plays mp3s one after the other... not one at a time. Geebox channel is just great but a bit slow on the menu.

Update:

As requested by WiiPower I compiled a version of the DolForwarder for SoftChip. And djdynamite requested versions for MPlayerWii and Pong2.
You can get them in the first post.

Edit: Patryc, you can use the unofficial MPlayerWii with the DolForwarder Mplayer version

You are welcome. Can you please upload the wads in which you inject the forwarders?

I just tried mplayer, which was successful but the version I want code dumps because it expects to return to homebrew, I think. So the wad works but not with this version. But thanks for your help. I never said this before but this really MUST be a sticky. It is one of the most useful utilities here. I hope the moderators read this!! PLEASE It saves so much channel space.

If the source code of the version of MPlayer you are using is available, I can change it so it restarts the Wii instead of returning to HBC. I once made a version that does this, but that doesn't support SDHC and sequential play.

MPlayerWii v0.07 DCelso & Qualith MOD R2

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/MPlayerWii#Unofficial_Versions

This is the link to the version I am using. I would be very grateful if you could mod this so it restarts the Wii. Then I can make a good Channel Wad

Which mplayer wii is it? There are so many versions of 0.07

MPlayerWii v0.07 DCelso & Qualith MOD R2 ... I look for this one that has been altered so it doesn't code dump

Thanks dynamite, I'll add the wad to the first post. Keep 'em coming

Patryc, I'm not sure which of those unofficial versions reboots the Wii. Just try them to find out and report back

Thank you for the update

I'm going to test it.
edit :
Could you make a wad ready to use please ? thanks

When searching for a way to edit the banner and made an animated one, I thought it may be useful to have a banner viewer on PC to avoid injecting/bricking/burning lot of DVDs to test it.

I looked around the net quickly and found that Marcan made one for testing the HBC banner animation.
he said the viewer will be released with the homebrew channel, but I didn't find it, maybe he forgot to release the python sources.

Maybe you could ask Marcan or Svpe (you seems to be here more often), if you can use it to make an animated banner.
it seems a little long to make all the scripting animation work, but not that hard if we can test it on PC.

his tool can also analyze other channels behavior, maybe we can see how the vote banner is working to load interactive text, or wiifit one with number of days incrementing.

you can see banner structure on his blog :

edit:
and here

if I have time, I would like to analyze it as well and maybe help you make one.
I'm currently not free, but tell me if you want.
