why the hell would you keep the source code of a game on your website?

Game companies aren't renting accounts from godaddy or whastever normal people do. They often own and run their own physical servers. Servers are often interconnected like this, or can share duties as needed.

Oh, something hacked. I know, let's blame anon! Even though no such attack was announced by anonops. This was a rouge, the media needs to stop assuming every single attack is by anon, despite having no motivation to hack some game forum, other than to blame ryan for something.
