Lol. first of all, of course i know wii forwarders dont work in vwii mode. however, i have managed to get every single one i use on my wii to work in vwii mode simply by converting/making new ones etc. I should have mentioned that. This is the ONLY thing i could not get to work via forwarder. Yes it launches from hbc just fine. And i already tried putting its dol into other known working forwarders as well as making new forwarders from scratch. I have tried everything i can think of man... it should be able to launch from a forwarder just fine, i just dont know what im doing wrong. If you have experience making forwarders, please try it out. I have to assume i am just somehow doing something wrong.Wii forwarders don't work on vWii. Does the game launch from the Homebrew Channel? You could probably modify the USB Loader GX vWii forwarder to load EDuke32 instead and replace the dol in one of the game forwarders.
Nah I dont have access to the source anymore, and havent talked to that jimi guy in a few years. CustomizeMii 3.11 should let you extract it for the most part though.Do you know if the source for any of the EDuke32 forwarders is available? The link you posted is just the WAD files. I can try to make something out of one of them.
Sorry, I lost track of the post. I replaced the bootloaders with FIX94's vWii code but everything else was untouched.

ah, i always use customizemii 3.11 for wad editing/creating. i used fixes ipl on all my other vwii wads and it worked fine. dunno what kept going wrong with that specific forwarder, im just glad its working now, i dont wanna think about it anymore lol. thanks againI just used ShowMiiWads to extract them to a folder and replaced the IPL (00000001.app) with FIX94's vWii one.
That's a great all in one pack! I've only downloaded it today.I was having some problems with save settings in the latest build which is buggy (r4821), so I used version r4103 and everything is perfect.
I can't remember if wiimote aiming is possible, but I personally find that the best controls for Duke32 are with the Classic Cotroller (d-pad for walking/strafing and right analogue stick for looking around). Analogue controls for walking are very inaccurate in games that were designed for digital controls (PC keyboard). Even walking in a straight line is a big problem using the nunchuck or the CC left analogue stick.
If you're using wiiflow, I made a Duke32 plugin to play the main game and the 3 official add-ons, with pre-configured control mappings for CC, freepats soundfont and full 3D covers. Very easy noob-proof installation.
If you're interested you can find it following the link in my sign.
Anyone tried or maybe knows if i could use this Wii port to run Ion Maiden/Ion Fury? I've read that it can be ran on linux with the same EDuke32 engine.Hey, thanks for helping out with this. I've added these loaders to Dukeworld, and updated our WiiBrew page.
Cool, maybe it would be a matter of updating the build. I started using EDuke32 Wii today, so i don't know much about it. I guess i'll ask the game as a gift anyway, it could possibly run someday in the future. I could also try it on the EDuke32 port for Vita. Thanks @niuus
I never tried that game, but the wii version is very old, I don't know if it will work.
AFAIK, it's Build engine 100%.I'm not familiar with that game, but if it does have the same exact engine with no updated feature, maybe there's a chance it could work.
Yeah, i concur. However, an updated Eduke32 for wii would be awesome, even if Duke Nukem 3D is already perfect with version r4103 that my plugin is based on. Classic controller is far better for that kind of "false 3D" games IMHO.
