Is there a way to change the control scheme in a VC game?
I'm playing Super mario 64 at the moment, and the controls are retarded.

I want to swap y+b and a+b. Is there a tool/method for this?
I'm familiar with packing/unpacking WADs and using hex editors.

You probably would have to hex edit the game's wad. Or you could use the GC controller, which is much better than the CC for most N64 games.

i can think of a few different methods to do it. all of them require some way of dumping the ram and poking it while the game runs, either by usbgecko or dolphin. basically i would find the function where the game responds to button presses and switch the buttons that you want. this page http://www.codemasters-project.net/members/Skiller/CMP/Jokerwii.htm comes in handy for stuff like that.
