Hey! I understand that most of the CFW stuff out there is DIY, but I was wondering if there was a program that allowed one to connect to the internet to see if a new firmware update was out, whether or not it patched NATIVE_FIRM, and have the ability to update a CFW.

I specifically ask because I want to have a more streamlined solution for my friends hacking their 3DSes, so they don't have to keep an eye on the homebrew scene, nor pester me each time they update their system. Does such a software exist yet? I think it could help alleviate some of the confusion with what can/can't be done after hacking, for the people who don't actively follow the scene.

I was talking about making this on 3dshacks, there wasn't much demand for it so I put it down.

That being said, you can just have them use the latest update of aureinand (http://astronautlevel2.github.io/AuReiNand/) which doesn't require a firmware.bin, so you can update even if there's a new native_firm.

This is fantastic! Thank you very much for sharing this: I'll be sure to share this with my friends as soon as possible.

EDIT: By the way, I probably wouldn't expect much visible demand for it if the people who need it are the ones who don't actively follow the community. I'm sure it would be useful to a lot of people, though!

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
