Hey console repair hobbyists!

Has anybody out there come up with clever ways to test 3DS console family replacement parts before completely/nearly-completely installing them? Screens and digitizers jump to the top of my mind; if these don't work well, they are SUCH a pain to back out.

I saw some generic flex cable extenders for sale on AliExpress (search for "flex cable extension") and was struck by the idea that such a thing would be AMAZING for 3DS console repair. If I could just connect a replacement screen/speaker cable/camera to a sort of adapter, and connect that adapter to the motherboard, I wouldn't have to put back significant parts of the console back together just to test...

such a thing is totally possible, but its not just something you can buy off the shelf. You would need to measure the pitch and pin count and all that for the original connector, and then find what specific socket they go into, and then design a flex PCB that works as an extender, and then get someone like pcbway to produce it. THEN, you would have to get out a hot air station and solder on the socket. So if you're willing to do all that and able to afford it, sure.
