EA Origin and Access subcription services renamed to EA Play
Electronic Arts offers multiple subscription services that allow players to access the vault of various EA games for a monthly rate. EA Access is used for consoles, while EA Origin Access is the titled used for the PC platform. As those names can be a bit confusing, EA has decided to rebrand both services under a new banner for the next generation of gaming. Citing the announcement post, Access will change to EA Play, and Origin will become EA Play Pro. The benefits or perks that come with either subscription won't change, nor will the pricing, and EA itself plans to add more features to both going forward. Additionally, the name of EA Play, which has been used for the company's E3-esque summer showcases has now been renamed to EA Play Live as well, to help differentiate it from the newly named EA Play. These changes will go into effect next week, on August 18th.
