FYI, this week Office Max has 50 Verbatim DVDs (either +R or -R) for $12.99, and Circuit City has TDKs (either kind, also) for $11.99. Now to decide how lazy I am .. drive out there or mail them to me??

I wouldn't recommend the -R TDKs. I bought 50 of them and they're of the cheap variety. I bought 100 -R Verbatims and they work amazingly.

Funny you say that. It's the opposite on a Gamecube. A Gamecube modded with the qoob chip will get tons of disk reads errors using Verbatim but will happily read TDK media. In fact, TDK is the only media I used for the old Gamecube due to it being 100% reliable. The wii reads them fine too.

Regards.

Verbatim Mini-DVD's worked perfectly fine on my gamecube... Although I mostly used the ritek ones.
