nope i lost my 3in1 in a move a few years back

does any one have experience dumping a platinum save maybe its similar?

I do dump my Platinum save every once in a while, but I use the Slot-2 NDS Backup Tool with an M3 Perfect Lite. Not sure yet if that'll work with Hg/Ss... I'm probably going to pick up the updated NDS Backup Adapter I recommended to you, though, just to be safe.

EDIT: Have you tried adding an entry for the game in the *.ini file of the backup tool?

But why did you have to mention you are trying to dump the save of "SS(usa)"?

It's just asking for people to beg you to dump/release it.
You could have just asked for dumping saves in general..

Actually, I'm not sure for the WiFi version (of if it will accept any entry at all)... the slot-2 ini file looks like this:

and I would've assumed the WiFi *.ini would be similar; but I've looked at the one for the version of the WiFi tool I have, it it doesn't have any of that.

Try the version downloadable from here (this is the one I've read works well with Platinum saves):

As of now the only way to get a save to/from an HG/SS card is to use the NDS Backup Adapter that someone linked to already. I believe the new IR card architecture is the issue. Doing this with a flashcard it probably possible, but not until someone makes a new app to do so (or updates an old one).

Back ups arnt illegal here.
If you own something and then copy it for use by YOURSELF and not for distribution then it is fully legal here.
for example.
If i buy pokemon soul silver, like i am.
and also have a copy on my flashcart, im actually not breaking any laws. aslong as i dont distribute it to other people.

'-_- it varies from country...some places you're allowed to create a backup for personal use and as long as you don't distribute it then everything's fine.

:/ Again like the other quote, it depends what laws you're under when accessing YOUR backups. Sure as hell if you have rom or iso's without the originals to back it up then the police aren't gonna like it, but to be honest:

1. How the hell would they even know you have the illegal backups?
2. They probably have something better to do.
