Hacking DSTT soft reset

ack.....I updated firmware and changed my skin.

now the soft reset does not work?


isn't it the abxy + L + R?

and does it work only with the original TT skin?

uh,hello. i seem to have to same problem as you.. i changed my skin to a kirby themed skin, but the soft reset doesnt seem to be working anymore.. may i ask how you reinstalled it? because im more used to the soft reset.. thanks =)

Check to make sure the soft reset option is set. I think you have to set a global option, then turn it on for each game as well.

yep follow what bri said.

you need to check off soft reset for each game in order to make it work.


however, if that does not work (like you have the soft reset on but the game still does not let you soft reset), you can just "reinstall" by deleting all the TT files and copy/paste new ones.

hey guys,

i have been having the same problem with my dstt and soft resetting. i have tried a number of different things (ie "resetting" tt files, enabling the sysoptions default reset AND each program individually) to no avail. i even tried using v1.15 then v1.16 versions of the tt files, but i cannot seem to get the soft reset to work ever.

maybe i am pressing it wrong? is there any "special" way of pressing A B X Y L R?

any other tips/suggestions?

Nope, just holding all 6 buttons should trigger it.
From a freshly formatted memory card with the OS files copied over, just enabling default reset in the sysoptions should enable it for all games (it shows a red power icon next to each game when enabled) .

Strange that the cart works but the reset does not.

yea i am just as stumped as you are. is it supposed to work for homebrew apps/emulators (ie moonshell, snemulds)?

i most recently formatted my microSD again, copied TT files (folder and .dat) to the root of the card and then nesds emulator with games and soft reset (after enabling) STILL doesnt work. didnt even change the menu skin.

any other comments/suggestions/ideas?
