Hey everyone! I wanted to introduce UInjectForge (UIF), a Wii U injection tool I’ve been working on.

Some of you might know me from my work on UWUVCI for the last six years. UIF is a separate project built from scratch, not another UWUVCI update. The goal is to bring creating injects, customizing them, and managing the finished builds together in one application, with current support for Windows, Linux, and macOS; Android and iOS currently works, but has yet to be approved in their app stores.

What can it do?

UIF supports injection workflows for NES, SNES, N64, GB/GBC, GBA, NDS (DSi), GCN, Wii, TG16, MSX, and PSP. It also offers runtime-based options such as PSP through a compatible PPSSPP runtime. Requirements and compatibility vary by system and runtime; PSP currently requires Tiramisu, so it isn’t an Aroma-compatible option.

A few features:
  • Simple and Advanced modes: A straightforward workflow for getting started, with additional settings available when you need more control.
  • Custom artwork and sound: Customize menu icons, boot images, and boot sounds.
  • Reusable artwork templates: Import your own templates, adjust text and image placement, and save them for future builds. Known UWUVCI template layouts are also recognized.
  • Console-specific settings: Configure supported controller, display, runtime, and compatibility options.
  • Wii disc preparation and patching: Multiple disc-handling options, alongside tools for advanced customization.
  • Built-in guidance and diagnostics: Tutorials, readiness checks, and support reports to help with setup and troubleshooting.
  • Optional Wii U companion tools: Transfer completed builds to your console and use supported installation workflows.

Free Desktop Demo

UIF is paid software, but there is a free Demo so you can try it before buying. The Demo includes unlimited Simple-mode builds for NES, SNES, and PSP. You can also browse the other consoles and Advanced settings, but building with those requires the Full edition. The Demo uses separate settings from the Full edition, so trying it won’t overwrite your existing setup.

Requirements and Compatibility

You’ll need a Wii U configured to run homebrew and the required files for your selected injection method. Games, base titles, keys, and Nintendo artwork templates are not included. Some options require separately downloaded runtimes or additional SD-card files. Game compatibility varies. UIF provides the tools to create an inject, but that does not guarantee every game will work with every base or runtime.

Downloads

Full version and free Demo:
UInjectForge on itch.io
Available for Windows, Linux, and macOS, including Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. Windows and Linux ARM64 downloads are also available as preview builds.

Mobile Versions

Android and iOS versions are coming soon to Google Play and the App Store. These will be separate purchases; the desktop purchase does not include the mobile versions.

Support and Feedback

Please feel free to share questions, suggestions, or bug reports here or on the itch.io page. For problems, include your UIF version, operating system, selected console, and any relevant settings. A Support Bundle or redacted error report is especially useful. Please don’t post keys or game files.

I plan to continue expanding UIF, and feedback helps me decide what to improve next. Thanks for checking it out!

so it isn’t an Aroma-compatible option

Soon, I hope.

This looks very promising anyway.

Thank a lot for sharing it with GBATemp!

Will have to take back my previous comment.

You're trying to sell a homebrew that's based on other people's hard job, that's a no, no.

You're no longer a maintainer of UWUVCI as of V3.N2 version, and even if you built this app "from scratch" it doesn't necessarily mean you haven't used other people's ideas/work to achieve it.

GBATemp's not against Homebrew, but selling it is not very welcome either, it's like pretending to set aside the fact that all the people that worked previously into achieving a way to mod our consoles don't deserve the credit or support, and that's OK for you to make profit out of their work.

So I agree with others, this should be banned from GBATemp, and all means seeking profit out of the Homebrew community as well.

That would mean no one would be allowed to sell anything. Everything is build on past discoveries and knowledge of some sort.
Or do you want to only apply it to software? So people putting work into software wouldn't be allowed to get paid?

it's like pretending to set aside the fact that all the people that worked previously into achieving a way to mod our consoles don't deserve the credit or support
How exactly is it doing that? Aren't you the one saying people shouldn't be allowed to get paid?
Post automatically merged:

this should be banned (Selling homebrew i mean) I get moneys tight but it's like selling burglary tools while saying you can rob someone with them it's dumb
How exactly is this a burglary tool?

just read this and, some valid points made on both sides.

we're so far along in wiiu injection (even a revamp of Teconmoons original released recently by @Matsuura) and the 'global' demand for this on a 14 yr old console to play your 20+ yr old favourites is gonna be so small as to make the charge of six bucks seem....greedy? grasping?

ZestyTS can plough his time into whatever he chooses, and put a paywall in place if he wants to, its his baby.............I hope he doesn't spend his thirty bucks all at once :)

Have to agree, this is clearly based on so much free software.
If you look at the GUI it's completely new. The whole thing is no longer based on WPF and has proper Linux and Mac OS Support. UWUVCI underneath the UI stitched a lot of third party tools for conversations, which came as an extra binary together. With UFI these conversations are now implemented natively in the application. The conversations are documented publically under creative commons so one can do a clean reimplantation based on this.

As UWUVCI was primarily the gui wrapper around these tools and it has been obviously been completely rewriten and Zesty likely just used used the third party tools without looking at their code, I think it is very plausible that this is a clean reimplantation.

Also why can't people just be grateful for all that he has done on UWUVCI and that there is now a better rewrite? If you don't want it, then don't buy it? He literally gave you a free alternative.
Why do people always demand getting other people's work for free? For me that just shows how little people value the work on these homebrew projects in general, which makes me want to quit, even though I don't even offer a way donations. But also I can only do that for free on my free time because I have a day job that pays me for my intellectual work. If all our clients demanded everything for free I couldn't do either thing.

I'm not opposed to homebrew and mods being paid, some mods on some of the communities i frequent are paid and they're completely transformative to the point of feeling like an official, paid upgrade.

But this aint it, OP.
