surelely makes sense to use upper case to tell somebody to use lower case, and to push this thread up again.

NOT

my dstt has 100 games in it atm. the menu is damn fast. ive used the latest from their official homepage.

maybe your cards are FAKE and thats why they are slow ?

or yours are real and thats why they are slow. maybe fakes are better :>

8gb card-> Use Panasonic formatter with 'special format' option ticked on.

put @20 games per folder.. ie games1 games2 etc

also yasu menu is more sensible to use than the dstt one for 8gb mem cards.

There is no problem with the DSTT when it comes to using cards under FAT32.. the problem is Windows formatting the Cards badly. I too believed so before but once I found a method to format my 4Gb card using the command Prompt and some specific options it went just as fast as using a 2Gb Fat formatted card.

Since then I've been using the Panasonic Formatter which will format your card according to it's best possible performance. I now use a 8Gb microSD containing 157 trimmed games (it's not even full) with no hassle at all. Also making multiple folders doesn't help in any way.. it only changes the way the game list will show up (folder1 games then folder2 games etc..). Simply make a single game folder and put all your games in it.

So again .. there is no problem with the DSTT.. only bad FAT32 fomatting settings under Windows..
Solution --> Panasonic Formatter

oh god... bumping an old thread huh..

anyway.. this is the answer:

- DSTT is laggy because of the cluster is to small to handle by DSTT, it needs to be adjusted to 32kb cluster size, so it can fetch data more faster... it also fixes some games that requires fast access memory cards

Windows FAT32 default cluster size is 8kb - 16kb
You can format your memory card by using the said software. (panasonic sd formatter?)

reformatting the cluster size is only valid for any memory cards that is larger than 2gb . Any cards size that is below or equal to 2gb needs no special formatting, and the lagging issue on the Menu cant be fixed sorry. Just use YSMENU or Xenon's made up homebrew named "WAIO".. its actually fast on navigation. but the speed of loading the rom cant take up 5-10 sec additional ROM load time...

    Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
