the new DSOrganize 3.05 is out :

QUOTE said:
This version focuses mostly on removing defects from the web browser, but includes a few new things. Most notably in this release is support for downloading files in the browser, and a confirmed fix for the random audio playback bug. As of now, I haven't had a single freeze in the audio engine since applying the fix in late September. Also, m4a files should play back at full speed, even the higher bitrates! I hope you all enjoy this release!
( from http://dragonminded.blogspot.com/ )

QUOTEFixes found in 3.05

  * Added extra checking to the image parser code to hopefully stop more freezes.
  * Added back in ability to create lowercase filenames that are short.
  * Added bad file check to gba_nds_fat so corrupt files shouldn't freeze DSO anymore.
  * Added ability to download files on web browser.
  * Added auto-hide setting to web browser.
  * Changed default progress color on web browser to be more visible.
  * Changed all audio formats that read on interrupt to read from a buffer.
o OGG, AAC, M4A files play faster now.
o OGG, AAC, M4A, MP3 files more stable.
  * Fixed a bug in the downloader code that added garbage extensions to some images, making sites crash.
  * Fixed a bug in the mp3 player that detected some stereo songs as mono, decreasing the quality.
  * Fixed directory sort order bug.
  * Fixed bug where sites using notation would not render.
  * Fixed a few buffer overflows in web browser which should increase stability.
  * Fixed a bug where uppercase hex digits converted to zeros in WEP keys.
  * Fixed not being able to clear WEP keys.
  * Fixed issue with random freezes while using the touchscreen in the sound player.
  * Fixed random seek crashes with aac/ogg/flac/m4a.
  * Fixed link issue with some php links.
  * Fixed a bug with saving favorites.
  * Fixed a bug where the cursor wouldn't auto-scroll when editing text.
  * Fixed a disappearing cursor bug with fixed width text editing.
  * Fixed a bug with sites that used bad tags like instead of
.
  * Fixed a bug that allowed todo's with illegal characters to be created.
  * Fixed a crash bug with small png images that run out of memory.
  * Fixed several out of memory crashes with web browser in general.

Downloading files with DSO sounds fun. Can you unzip folders though on a DS( Since most stuff I download is zipped, and zipped files are not helpful on a DS)

Quick Q: does anyone know how to update a previously configured DSO without losing the config? I'm tired of re-setting everything every time I update =/

@The Last Spartan the DScompress app (posted in the news section a while back) gained zip and gzip decompression which should be a start (most stuff seems to be rar or 7zip these days though).

@4saken DSftp?

NO, there are quite much .zip archives around. I would even go that far and say that there are more .zip archives around then .rar or .7z

Good that they fixed the music crash bug, that was the most turning off for me to use DSOrganize.

I also want to check out the browser, see how that has changed.

EDIT: Footnote: The download works perfectly for me.

Is the browser in DS Organize any good? What are the limitations of it? Can I check my email and send emails with a web based email system?

If not, can someone host it for me plzzz lol!

Gambia, The
the webbrowser is crap since it uses DLDI for every bit...
So nice freatures were added x_x the only shit is, that it loads for hours...
The old webbrowser in DSO were very fast, because it didnt deleted cache etc... but it has no Favorites, prefs etc x_x

leinad: STOP COMPLAINING ! If you really care THAT MUCH about the speed and stuff like this disable DLDI, DISK WRITING and images in the config.ini file.

- Nevermind, this part was way too harsh

sorry dude -

Anyway, maybe the older browser was faster because it had no images enabled or did render the stuff else than the current one does ?

^ unFlamed.

Anyway, the browser does have images, though it does state that it only loads small images. Fortunately, avatars fit into that category.
