DSonei_SDHC_V3.0_sp8_eng l have just got myself a supercard dsi one cart with this software loaded
tryed to play Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games.nds
we enter mario game pressing "A"
it loads the save file
then touch to begin
then it come up with this error "the data is corrupted and will be deleted"

is this the laters update or is their another later loader or is there unoffical up-dated formeware

Do you have the most current patch file (ndspatch.dat)? If you don't know what that is, you probably do not. If you don't have it, get it from here and try the game again. It has fixes for many recent games, Mario and Luigi 3 and Spirit Tracks included (they both work flawlessly with no futzing around). I have no idea if the Olympic Games is in there, but it couldn't hurt to try if you haven't already.

Refer to 9th_Sage's post. The Supercard Team fixes games by using NDSPATCH.DAT...which you need to move into your "scshell" folder for it to take effect.

hey thanks for the info l have tryed it and it dose not work
Hmm...ndsinfo.dat is up to date as well, right? It's possible that if the wrong save size is being set for that game it could cause a problem like this as well. I think you can find it on that site as well, else go somewhere and find out what save size that game is supposed to be and set it yourself.

It's easier to just get the ndsinfo.dat, but since you really don't want to do that for some reason, try googling the Pocketheaven Release list. It should have a list of all DS games that are out there and what size their saves are.

You just need the latest of each file, they are cummulative.

NDS PATCH FILE
The latest ndspatch.dat:http://forum.supercard.sc/thread-4979-1-1.html
NDS INFO FILE
The latest ndsinfo.dat:http://forum.supercard.sc/thread-4619-1-1.html

NDS CHEAT FILE DOWNLOAD CHEATS.XML.zip
http://cheats.gbatemp.net/

what's the ndsinfo.dat file?

its the file that has rom info on it rom number, name & save size for the scdsone

which is its function?

it tells the loader what rom you have on your scdsone

have set all this up on sdhc chip pressed X on each game to set patch etc but some games load partly and get corrupt data (The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks)
others get so far and get black screen .
When we used a patch to individually patch The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks with a program it pased the corrupt data stage.

are we not setting some thing for the info and patch .dat files to work

thankx for help

@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages

It does that when I edit a post.

It inserts a newline in a random spot.

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
