Yeah, actually I have this as well.... It's kind of weird; My right shoulder button is just a tad more squishy than the left one, as if the left shoulder button is "closer" to the DS unit. I've also accidentally pressed/released the left shoulder button on numerous occasions. It doesn't seem to be as "defined" as the old DS shoulders.
I dont have any problems...Ive got an Europe Ds Lite Black....all works fine.
But what i dont like you will see Finger prints on the ds...especially on a black one.If you grabbed it one time its all over the ds...Thats the only thing i dont like.
My dslite buttons are fine. I lick the new xy, ab, buttons. More easier to press. The LR, buttons are fine, feel the same. My big DS had a clicky R and a soft press L. But the ds lite europse is perfect.
I think people with black ds should take a picture of it to remind them of it in perfect condition, since they wont see it that way for long.
I do find the unit slighly heavier to hold than the big ds, since the weight in concentrated into the center of the unit.
Yeah, recently purchased a DS lite and have the same thing. Left button has a definate click whilst the right button doesn't. It is much softer. It's a very niggly thing though so it doesn't bother me too much.
Noticed this issue with my white DS Lite a few days ago. Going to try and return it to Game now, will report back... I'm hoping they will be cool about exchanging it, it is quite subtle, but annoying all the same. If it's loose now when the unit is new, then perhaps it will continue to loosen the more I play it.
I only have Wario ware touched so I haven't used my shoulder buttons at all besides scrolling through sent images in Pictochat. Not much that is.
My right shoulder buttons is definetely alot less responsive than the right. It responds quite poorely actually.
I have the same issue with my black NDSL. The right shoulder button is soft and the left still has that satisfying click. I didn't have the problem when I first had it. My friend's black NDSL has a nice click on both sides... hmm... maybe they'll wear out too. Well, that all depends if he uses it a lot.
I also noticed that there's a small gap on the right shoulder button area, and I'm able to see the orange and red light leak through the side. Is this normal?
What should I do? I'm still under 1-year warranty.
My black DSL has a soft click on the right shoulder and a hard click on the left, considering I very rarely use my shoulder buttons I found this odd but put it off as simple 'paranoia'. I figure it was a little more than that though if everyone else is having similar problems. Not familiar with Nin. warranty, but can you call them up and request a replacement for such a minor problem?
Ah, I have this problem too. The right shoulder button feels really flimsy and soft, but I never had any problems with it registering action. Mine is UG1 US DS Lite.
