My right shoulder button doesn't feel loose, it just feels... softer. When I press the right side it feels soft and and I don't hear anything and when I press the left I can hear and feel a "click".

Early adopter backlash maybe? I think its normal actually...considering how we use our left hands a bit differently from our right hand, I THINK maybe you're not pressing it the same way. I don't have a DS Lite yet

there is a slight sound difference, but the resistance felt is the same... and the buttons are not loose....so its still ok...

maybe cause your right handed, your right finger makes it seem like its softer, when in fact your finger is just stronger

(well assuming that your right handed)

no because i tried it by flipping my US DS-Lite upside down and pressing the left button with my right finger... also my friend has a japanese DS-Lite and it doesnt have this issue.. so im thinking its just a manufacturing defect of the initial US/NA batches.. either way i bought a Best Buy warranty so i will exchange mine when v2 comes out

this reminds me of the initial v1 PSPs with the flying UMD cartrudge problem.. i guess early adopters always take a risk

Australian DS.

Same problem/defect? Left shoulder button makes clicky noise yet right doesn't. The resistance feels the same though.

My navy DS Lite has a very loose left shoulder button. My white (US) Lite has perfect shoulder buttons. It bugs me on my navy DS Lite, sure, but you get used to it. It doesn't affect gameplay at all.

I've played with 3 different DS Lites. All had a right shoulder button which were didn't "click" as much as the one of the left.

I think this is normal with all systems, I kind of assumed the power lights being closeby had something to do with it. Similiar to how PSP's Square button commonly get stuck because they are so close to the screen.

My left + right shoulder buttons both click fine, with the right one maybe a fraction softer. Well, it's not bad, I didn't notice it till I saw this thread.

i always do hours of research before i buy anything because half the crap you see gets bad reviews especially when it's on sale, stuff is usually on sale because it was a bad deal at full price and nobody was buying it

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
An actual decent to good sound bar is going to be as expensive as a lower end home theater in a box system with less functionality and a poorer sound stage

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Which is to say you're spending so much money to still have 100% of the sound come from the bottom of the TV.

You really can't judge based on video reviews as it's not the pure sound coming from it

I'd love to own a good klipsch or Yamaha receiver but I don't really need to spend $200+ on a receiver living in a single bedroom apartment

Funny that, I actually just replaced a Yamaha receiver, replaced it with a manufacturer refurbished Denon unit

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Only reason for replacing is that the Yamaha unit was like 8 years old and didn't support 4k video
