Just a comparison of the screen size of a DSi and a DSi XL, it looks to me that is the only major difference between them other than cost

Aside from the size of the stylus, there's nothing that's different.
Aside from, of course, the screen size.

The sound in the XL is GOD compared to the DSi's. It's also a lot easier to handle if you have big hands like me.

It depends if you have big hands do you want to use it outside your house a lot do you like to draw on it? So yea.
