I have been offered a DSi with game and case like new for $150 or should I go for the DSi XL for $275 New, is it worth it

$275 new!? I assume that's not USD or anything is it?

Personally, I found that the bigger screens and better speakers in the DSi XL makes me get pulled into the game more. Games just look much better. And the speakers, even though they are the same as they are in the DSi, they just sound 10x better. If you have the cash, get the XL.

But $275 for an XL? Thats a pretty crazy expensive XL if that is USD. I bought my DSi brand new for $150 and I've seen sales on in the stores recently for $110 when you also buy a game. I bought the DSi because I wanted the smaller size because I carry it in my pocket all the time, but most people really like the XL from what I've heard.

If you bother checking the flag of the OT, you'll find out he's from Australia.
Australia currency , it's the Australian $ , NOT USD.
Of course nobody in their right mind would spend that kind of cash on a DSiXL.

That said, I'm I proud owner of an XL myself and I can only say I'm really glad I waited that long before upgrading to the DSi because when I finally decided to do it, the XL was announced and I waited a little longer and got one on launch day and I didn't regret it one bit.
Game are improved in many ways, better, bigger display, nice buttons and the extra large stylus travels much better on the almost twice as big touch screen, making it for even more accurate gameplay.
Get the XL bro, you won't regret it.

It works out at $271 US Dollars for DSi XL and $148 US Dollars for a DSi I think I will be getting the DSi because of the price difference

The DSi XL is definitely worth it if you play lots of DS stuff. The bigger screens REALLY help.

If US $271 for a DSi XL, I'll look for more option.

But I'll get DSi XL over DS Lite, unless,

* You want portability.
* You play Guitar Hero/Band Hero DS.

In that case go with DS Lite.

You live in Australia. Electronics are expensive there.
I recommend the DSi XL, only if you can find it at US prices. Australian prices are way overblown.

That offer for the DSi though matches US prices, so it's a pretty good deal for where you live.
Or you can import an American DSi XL and use a voltage converter to charge it.

Yep it is worth it! I had a ds lite before. but I sold it after a couple of months. it just felt like a gba with two screens

i was beyond dissapointed.

Then I gave the whole DS world a new chance with the DSi XL. I cant say that i could be more happy than I am with it! I looove this machine. And i rank it equally great as the gba sp! so the dsi XL is a 10/10.

my only worry is that I will get dissapointed of 3ds becuz of the XL

Freaking over 200$?
Sorry to mention this.
but just go to toysrus or toysrus.com and just get one from there. its about 10$ more then a DSi Regular.

I dont know where you get that price from. LOLEBAY

I initially bought the DSiXL with the intention of trading it in for a 3DS. Initially, I wasn't that imrpessed with it -- being that it was big , bulky, and well, brown.

However, after experiencing 100+ beautiful hours of DQ9 with it, I know that I just can't part with it.

So I guess I'm just like one of the many totally XL smitten sheep in this thread, -- but we're very smart and happy sheep indeed!

I also live in australia, and i had to bargain down a heap to get a $275 price for my XL from dick smith. i strongly suggest you get the XL from there with a short extended warranty. Although expensive ($30-$40) what happens is your L and R buttons will begin to get dust under them (with any DS) and temporarily stop functioning until you simply blow the dust out. The thing is, dick smith doesn't know that and all you need to do once that warranty begins is call the warranty centre, say that you don't want to send it in so you will take it to the local store for them to make sure it actually is broken. They will confirm, ring them back up, and they will send you a new one in the post. This is how i could afford my XL. I had a DSi and i used the warranty to get a new one. Then they didn't have any in stock so they sent me a gift card for the purchase price ($275AUD) and i went to get my XL and paid for the warranty again. It won't be long before i will do the same to hopefully get $275 towards my 3DS

. Best thing is, it isn't lying, the product is actually broken, just not much. Enjoy your 1 or 2 XL's

I personally would go for the DSi, however i would actually stick with the DSl cause of the GBA slot.
