Gaming DSI Repair Question

Hello everyone!

I just got a faulty Dsi XL that I wanted to first repair and then mod. When turned on, the Dsi does a quick flash of the bottom screen and turns off. The seller also said that when the dsi was first taken out of the box in a long while, the top screen first showed a line the first time but then went black the next time it was turned on. You can still barely see roughly 1/3 of the screen with vertical lines for a split second, but it's extremely faint and with no backlight.

I'm assuming that all I have to do is replace the top screen, right? I just wanted to be sure before I order one.

Yeah you would have to replace the top screen but before you get a new one you could also check if reconnecting the top screen cable changes anything

Thanks! I did take it apart already, and it seemed to do nothing, so I'll have to get a new screen.
