Hacking DSi or DSi XL?

XL is BAD Ive bought it 2 days ago, and I did return it cos it is not what I wanted!

if you want long battery life as a standard, you should buy the XL.
but if you want a good screen ratio, get the DSi, you can always buy an extra/better battery.

Get the DSi XL. You'll love the bigger screens, and it has a longer battery life. And if you don't like the current colors, wait for the newer colors coming up soon.

or you could buy it now and swap the case with one that
has a more desirable color

Nah I love my regular DSi for on the go and fact is more portable then XL theres no need for it. Big Screens its whatever for me... Battery Life is nice thing. 20 bucks difference between them. Nintendo is know for small handhelds and owning gamer's pockets I would like to keep it that way IMO.

XL all the way, when I pick up my lite now I can't believe I ever managed to play anything on it the screens are so small. Also it just breathes new life into old games, it's like you can see them properly for the first time and they're not really that unportable I can fit my XL in my jeans pocket fine if I want and if you're going travelling you'll have a bag with you anyway to put it in.

I have had both. I highly recommend the DSi XL. The battery life is longer and the larger screen makes playing any nds game twice the fun!

Send in your lite for repairs.

But if you desperately need an 'i, try and see for yourself if you like or hate the extra size before you make the decision. I know this is not always easy, but try to see one in real life first.

i have had every ds system since the fat and i love the dsi xl fits into your hands better, plus if you have a dstwo its awesome for playing gba games on. also who knows when the 3ds will be released.

I think the current theory is that it will be released in the fiscal year ending in March 2011, so it could be any time either in March or months before. It's possible that it could be on the market close to the end of the year.
