Gaming Dsi help please

So a few weeks ago a bought a dsi xl from a friend for 20$. Well after using it I noticed that after playing with it for a while, and if you closed it, it would shut off is moved. If you guys know how to fix this please tell me, I don't have an SD or anything, and I can answer most question about the hardware and software if needed.
Please help me I was looking forward to using it on the go.

Hey,

Does it go off when you open and close the screen?
If you open and close the screen slowly does the picture distort?

If yes - it's the ribbon cable on the top screen.


If the power goes off when you move the whole thing, or tap it, - there is a common issue on the DSi XL where the battery doesn't get a good connection with the contacts, usually solved by putting a bit of card down the end of the battery.

Yes the screen does distort, but I will try the battery thing

Thanks for that I might try and replace the ribbon cable.
