Well since he couldn't even spell homebrew correctly in the video I seriously doubt this is legitimate.

And if it was real, why couldn't he show it running on a DSi?

100% Fake.

1. If it were real, it would be running on a real DSi.
2. It's impossible to be real BECAUSE it's running on an emulator, DSi can't be emulated yet.
3. Nobody knows how to read files from the SD card, if they did, it would be all over every DS news site on the net.
4. At best it's a nice looking homebrew for the DS.

I think the video is only a tease of how will it looks like when they code it, they are still dissambling the files from the DSi to figure it out how to get the real Homebrew Channel on the DSi...!!

Looks like a good setup if it was real.
But it's not, It's just a demo pictures of what it would look like, I saw those a while back.
