Gaming DSi doesn't read games anymore.

This isn't my DSi, it's from a friend. Thing is that his niece put the game backwards and when she couldn't get it out, they used a pair of pliers. However the games won't work now and when I shake it, I can hear that something's lose on the thing. I can tell you that the carts go in nicely like they should, but they just won't work at all. They gave it to me to see if I could fix it but I prefer asking here first before trying anything weird as I haven't really worked with a DSi before, only DS Lite.

You probably broke the slot 1. Just buy a replacement. If you fixed it on the ds lite you can probably do it on the dsi.

Replace the cartridge slot?

Or try the paper trick first. The connectors may be pushed out.
