ive seen the candles but how dose it connect ot the wii?

Ha I've done that before, I think its just the wiimote looking for some kind of bright light? Idk

Many people think the sensor bar is the receiver
But its the remote that is, the sensor bar is nothing more than 2 Leds emitting light
The reason you connect it to the Wii is for power supply

Basically, every 2 lights can replace it

I do remember being able to control my wii when my wii mote was in front of my open fridge , that was pretty weird since the fridge only contained one light source XD

All cameras detect it. Camera sensors have a wider range than our eyes.

Not all. Some cameras have IR blocking filters.
