    Demo available at corbindavenport.com/6502i

6502i is a 6502 assembly emulator designed for use with the Nintendo DSi Browser (a web browser based on Opera Mobile for the Nintendo DSi). It is based on 6502asm 1.5, a JavaScript 6502 emulator.

6502i is identical to 6502 1.5 in functionality, except for the following changes:
    • No debugging features - they were removed because they slowed the emulation and couldn't fit on the screen anyways
    • New UI - 6502i is specifically designed for the DSi Browser's 'column' mode.
    • Compressed JavaScript - All JavaScript code is compressed to save download speed and some emulaton speed

Even with these changes, 6502i is stil about 1400% slower than 6502asm on Google Chrome. Not much can be done about this, becuase the DSi Browser's JS runtime is terrible. Still, some optimizations can still be made.

6502i is open-source at Github, place an issue there or on this forum and I'll be glad to help :)

It might be with the original DS Browser, but I don't have a working DS Lite to confirm. I can't find a version of it that works in Desmume either. Sorry, can't test it :/

Next time you should paste it into notepad and then copy it from there just to make sure any formatting is removed. I do that whenever I notice formatting being included when I don't want it to.

He means this is a piece of homebrew that runs inside the DSi's browser.

Ah. Well I chose to make it for the browser because I have no experience in native development, and there was already a JS 6502 emulator that almost worked on the DSi browser.
