I'm assuming the values under MSG all have relevance strictly to the updating process. I think that they have the DS-X lights activate while updating, so that could be the RGB values under color table. It's been a long time since I ever ran the updater so I would have to do so to try to figure out which values govern what. Paper width and paper height, margin left and margin right, view width and view height, view kind? Seems pretty self descriptive that they're aligning something.
