Homebrew DS question

Hi All,

Looked for an answer to this but couldn't get a clear answer. I've modded my 3DS with CFW, TWiLight/DS Forwarder, etc. But, what about my 2DS XL? is the process any different than what's on 3DS Hacks Guide? What's the process of installing games on the 2DS? I assume the same for the .cia files, my 2DS ROMs are in .ds format, do I set it up the same as the 3DS?

What system do you have?

There is a “New 2DS XL” which is basically a 3DS without the 3D function. There is a “DSi XL” which is basically a Nintendo DS with a digital shop and improved processor.

It sounds like you have a New 2DS XL, but this is the NDS forum and you also mention .ds roms which I’m not familiar with. I’ve seen .nds or .3ds, not .ds.

Apologies, yes, it's a New 2DS XL, and I had a typo, the files are indeed .nds. So, with that info, is there anything different in the process than what I used for the New 3DS?

The process should be the same then. You can follow https://3ds.hacks.guide/

To play DS roms you will need a flashcard or Twilight, etc. but it sounds like you’ve already set that up once before on a 3DS.
