Hacking DS Phat Top Screen Fix

Okay, I have a Japanese launch DS Phat. The right hinge broke a bit a while back and so that bit could flop up and down but it still worked.

Now it just freezes on the same screen unless you have it in a perfect position. You have to lodge bits of folded up paper in it to make the top screen display anything.

Would a replacement case fix this or is this a worse problem?

It could be the case, but its more likely that its the bus wire going bad (this one) my Phat also had that problem (the screen went white unless i changed the screen's position) and i had to buy that wire to get it fixed.

My wire broke too. It's funny cause now I have a ds that wont charge and a ds that I cant play so I just switch out the battieres when I need to.
