Oh god help me. I want to buy this ghetto thing so bad XD It looks like the ultimate (worst) cross between a DS Phat, DS Lite, and DSi. I found out eachgame sells them, which prompted me to look further into it. I can't find much out about it other than pictures and bad Chinese descriptions, but it looks like, based off the first link I posted, it DOES run DS/DS Lite fw.

I've bought a couple knockoff game consoles from these guys, namely the EGP 1000, which was interesting... at best, but still enjoyable due to the sheer fact that it's a PSP clone (that doesn't play PSP games), and the PVP 2 (which made me think of WoW... still waiting for it).

I want to buy this thing now XD Seeing this made me remember I need a new top screen for my Lite :/

I actually posted about this back in July and quickly got my thread removed due to linking to eachgame. Apparently they have roms hosted on their site.

Anyways, I totally want to buy this thing. I tried getting in contact with the guys from eachgame to see if they had anymore details they could give me about the system but they just copied the description and sent it to me.

I bought a couple EGP 1000s too. Could you ever figure out how to save snes games? I came up with a really roundabout way of doing so. It would be an awesome portable if the emulators had all the bugs fixed and the d-pad wasn't just four separate buttons.

Looks interesting. The screen looks really cheap though, even on the display images (which I think should be the best they can possibly have, atleast for most products and food they try to make it look perfect) and for this it looks like it has terrible glare and graininess. I think it'd be cool to try though.

I think I had figured it out but I haven't touched the thing in a while, I don't even remember where I put it, lol.

This honestly looks like a reshelled ds phat given the button positions (select, start, power) and general body proportions.

Its a chinese recharge/refurb

Yeah they honestly look really good IMO, but it doesn't look like it has the brighter backlit screens. It would be cool if they would make it so you could just buy the housing so you can do it yourself.

Um, this might be off topic, but..
A Wii remote from Walmart costs about $39.98. A Wii remote on eachgame.com costs $13.99. Should i just buy it from eachgame or what? Are they legit, fully working/compatible, etc.?

Off topic, but figured it's relevant since I mentioned the shop - I ordered some of the $0 stuff from EG's black friday sale, including a pair of their horrific knockoff Beats by Dr. Dre (I KNOW they're bad and fully expect it, I get such a kick out of it given their price). The order came in today - the pair I ordered were legit. For $0. Beats Tour, I am pretty sure they're factory irregulars, as there are two minuscule bubbles/bumps in the plastic on one of the buds. I'd never buy Beats for full price, as they're not worth it, for for the price of a few bucks shipping, I'm psyched as hell. They sound pretty damn nice.

I'm gonna give their Bose mIE2i buds a shot as well now given this luck. These came with the warranty info and everything O_O

They're obviously not legit...

They do "work", but compatibility is up in the air, they don't work all the time, especially when it comes to homebrew and such.

The weird that the image of black unit is clearly edited:

You can see how the bottom screen is not fitting properly in the space it's given...

Yes because it's not like counterfeiters could make fake packaging or provide fake warranty info.

I'm just saying. I've never seen fake packaging that wasn't disproportionately small or sized compared to the real packaging, without engrish, packaged like crap, contain something that sounds this good (considering they're beats). I've ordered Beats form them that were actually fakes, full well knowing I was buying such, and the packaging they come in is shit. Let's not even talk about their quality.

From what i know, monster never made black/black beats tour. The only available colors are black/red or white/white, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll admit I'm no Beats by Dre expert. I've sworn against ever buying a pair (at retail price, in any case).

Let me first say that for the price, knockoff or not, I am very very pleased with the quality of these.

Now, I decided to look into it a bit further as to whether these are knockoffs or not because I'm really curious now. The outer sleeve has a grey MONSTER label, where I hear that the official ones are white. I'll check at work tomorrow to verify that against all the other models we have. On the back, the writing towards the right edge is a bit more faded than the left side, and Dre's face is very dark (not a black joke) against the background, but I remember it being such to some extent on retail boxes, so I'm not sure about that. The UPC does match, not that that would be hard to fake.

Inner box - It does have the spine flap and right-edge flap like legitimate boxes do. The writing on the inside is not at all faded or blurry.

The headphones - The "brushed metal" is indeed brushed North to South as legitimate ones are. The serial number on the 3.5mm connector is clear as day, not at all faded, and is "A..A14B", exactly (meaning nothing is censored out from that). I even went so far as to register them on beatsbydre.com/register with that serial and it did pass. I tried registering some bogus numbers following the same format I came up with, and they didn't work. However, I did just try to register them again, using the same number, and they went through a second time, meaning the website doesn't stop a serial number from being registered twice. That means they could be using someone's ripped off serial.

After registering them I was almost positive they were legit, but after seeing them able to be registered multiple times, I am, as one could imagine, doubtful again.

http://www.squidoo.com/detect-fake-monsters-beats-by-dr-dre-tour-headphones-like-a-genius Followed that guide, too bad their pics are crappy.

I actually don't know now.

--I guess this has officially turned into a "Has Nick bought good fake Beats or legit ones?" thread.

Edit - Assuming all pairs have a unique serial, then these are absolutely fake. I found other people reporting they have the same A..A14B serial online. But hey, they're damn good for fake, I can't say I'm disappointed with them, considering how infrequently I use earbuds anyway. Gonna call Monster tomorrow and see what they have to say about it anyway.
