My Friends DS Lite froze while playing PS0 on his R4. It then turned on to a white screen. Now it powers on, but it doesn't boot into the OS. I replaced it's BIOS chip and it still hangs on the boot up. I have no idea what the issue is at this point. Does anyone have an idea what it may be?

The DS has Stick bios and No FlashME

Then the DS is pretty much bricked or the firmware is gone, this happens if you download a bad ROM.

Uh wait, here's a post by SifJar from a very old topic about the same problem, maybe this will help:-

If it is indeed that your friend has run a bricker on his DS (which is unlikely unless he tries to pirate ROMs off dodgy sites, as the brickers are hard to find on the internet AFAIK), then the only way to fix it is to dismantle his and another DS Lite, start FlashMe on the working DS Lite, switch the BIOS chips between the DS Lites and finish running FlashMe, then switch the BIOS chips back.[/p]

n5s? what's that? ...so how did this guy brick his DS?
from using a terrible clone of the R4, the N5DS.
Unfortunately, if you're looking for a soft way out of "unbricking" your Lite, then I wouldn't look for any- the DS isn't really adaptable. Try buying a new one, or a 3DS. :/

That "version" of DQIX was actually a hentai slideshow that bricked the DS. It landed on the internet pre-Japanese DQIX release to make those too impatient to wait, suffer.

If you've been playing the game at all, you have a legit ROM.
