Does anybody know how many watts the ds lite uses in its various brightness modes? I read that a wii uses 16 watts and the ps3 uses 150 watts when in use.

I can not help you with the brightness modes or even a DS lite but I did do measurements of the power for an original DS in various conditions a couple of years back

You could probably infer something from the capacities and how long it took to discharge (timed discharge tests are a bit more common)
    Anyway my tests

The max rating on the back of the system is 2.3 watts, but as FAST's post shows its even lower in practice. Take the (mAmps*5.2) / 1000 to get the watts in his post. For example, 150 mAmps is .78 watts.
