Hacking DS LITE changed LED's

DeVante: the 0603's fit OK for you? Im going to hazard a guess that the origional ones in the lite are actually 0402 LED's.

Best way to desolder components that small with one iron is to put extra solder to join the two ends and use a small screwdriver to push it off to the side (all while not applying heat for too long at once). Provided they arent resined on in some way, and arent heated too much, they probably come off undamaged and with a little cleanup could be reused.

0603 fit fine. They're a little more than twice the height of the stock LEDs though.

On a side note, my A button would click loudly when I pressed it hard before the mod. Now it barely clicks at all.
