So im having a problem while trying to dump a DS game. Ive got the Backup Tool running and connecting to an FTP server, however when i get to the step where I have to remove the flash card
and insert the game card, everytime i insert the game card the DS restarts itself. Ive searched around and havent been able to find an answer, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What DS is in question? What card is in question?

Umm... Please more details.
The only thing I'm getting is that you need to charge your DS.

Wait what? How does that have to do with anything? That's basically saying the same thing I said with different words

Its a DS Lite, and it is with any cartridge, anytime i try inserting a cartridge while the system is turned on, it will restart itself when.

thanks guys..

this is only happening when you insert a game with the power on. so if you turn on the power and insert a game the ds will turn off? or are you saying it only happens after wood dumper has been executed. i could be a problem with wood dumper. there is a new version in beta that is built off a different library, it is faster and more stable. you might want to wait for it to be releasaed. ETA will probably be a month or so as we are still beta testing it.

yeh its happening whenever the ds is turned on, it will turn off if i insert a cartridge

then i have no idea what that is. could be a problem with the nds firmware, could be a short in slot1, could be something as easy as dust. if your ds is still under warranty you might want to consider getting that looked at.
