Hello, I’m very new to the Wii U modding scene. I only modded mine because my brother is a huge Chibi-Robo fan and wanted to play the Japanese DS Chibi-Robo game, Okaeri! Chibi-Robo! Happy Richie Ōsōji! (AKA Chibi-Robo Clean Sweep) with the English patch on the tv, so I got him that for Christmas. The DS Injection Wii U compatibility list has Chibi-Robo Clean Sweep as working 100% but he’s about 15 hours in and has come across a cutscene that freezes the game every single time. Is there any workaround to fix this issue? Like would it be possible to back up his save file with SaveMii and inject Chibi-Robo Clean Sweep over a different base DS game? Could that potentially solve the cutscene freeze issue? Or could he use his backed up save file from SaveMii to use on a DS emulator on PC? Is it even possible to use SaveMii for an Injected DS game? If anyone could help, it’d be so appreciated!

Try using Picross 3D as the base DS VC emulator, since that is the latest release of the emulator. If that doesn't work, extract the save file and get past that cutscene and then send it back to the Wii U. The file path for the Wii U VC injection is this (Requires an FTP Client like FileZilla) (If the game is located in an USB Storage Device, "storage_mlc" is replaced with "storage_usb"): \storage_mlc\usr\save\00050002\TITLEID

My guess as to why they chose New Super Mario Bros. as the base is that some modders come from the Wii scene and they assumed the Wii U emulators worked the same as the Wii (Preset settings hardcoded in the .wad), however, the Wii U uses a generic emulator to run games, so each game has the same previous emulator but upgraded for that game specific release. Also, not all games were fully tested, as some only booted the game and reported it as 100% working.
