Homebrew DS(i) Mode hacking progress thread

Ok finished testing after a lengthy process. Tried with 3 different ROMs and I get the DS boot splash followed by a white screen in all 3 cases.

Maybe the cart is faulty.

Try editing RESETSLOT1 on the ini file.

Sorry I still can't figure out which ini file you are referring to.

I got the following:

• YSMenu in root of DSTT cart
• YSMenu in SD:/_dsttfwd
• ntr_forwarder in SD:/nds

I inspected all those files and couldn't find RESETSLOT1 written on them

The DSTT forwarder template doesn't do RESETSLOT1.

Here some to report.

NesDS - Hangs on ws
Gameyob - Hangs on ws
DSDoom - Stays on "Welcome *username*".
DSi4DS - only shows DSi4DS on the homebrew list
DSision2 - Hangs after trying to open a folder

For DSi4DS, that's normal. It reads .nds files in the root.

i will test some apps tomorrow, like emulators and apps i have on my ded r4... my SD Card is still there xD

Mario Kart DS runs from the SD Card now. As well as a number of other DS demos I tested. I would link to the site I downloaded from but I don't know if that'd be against the rules or not.

I supose that you refer to the DLP demo, that one worked fine before DLDI support.

Possibly stupid question (been away from the scene for a while and even now barely have the time to pop in now and then) but is there any homebrew that would allow me to transfer stuff between the micro SD card in the 3ds and the one in my flashcard (in this case that being an ace3ds+)?

Wood3DS can transfer stuff between the SD card and the flashcard (Original R4 only).

Well was kinda expecting something that was for the original r4 only although I did not know that woodr4 could do that, thanks anyway, seems I'm unlucky for not having an original r4 and not being able to even find one for sale.

I don't think it was a download play demo, it didn't work before the DLDI support no matter what I tried.

Opened up the rom in DeSmuMe so you don't have to look at a badly taken phone picture.

How come it didn't work before then? It's the same rom as before, and the only demos I was able to run were the ones from Nintendo Channel.
