Homebrew DS(i) Mode hacking progress thread

Yeah it may not be detecting the mode correctly. Probably due to interference of the flashcart used to boot it.

The CIA refuses to install because it's "Already Installed" (BBM's error), N3DS.

You need to uninstall it first or use FBI to install it. I recommend installing with FBI. Try to avoid manually uninstalling it though. There's important system apps there and you might uninstall the wrong one by accident.

I know which one you mean, XD it's only off by one character I think. I remember reading a thread of someone accidentally deleting that one instead.

It will be CTR-P-CPAP (I forget the exact product code exactly). The last 3 digits are 102 and it will be near the bottom of the list. (with DSiWare and custom product codes being listed below that)

Luckily it's emuNAND so if I brick it I can fix it in an hour or so

I guess it could be that. It does correctly detect my DS Lite though if that makes any difference.

Yes. Install the patched TWL_FIRM to emuNAND and you can run a whole bunch of old DS flashcarts again, even on N3DS.

Then you would have no incentive to install it, no, unless you wanted to mess around with making DSiWare apps region free, or doing other experiments.
