cause the twl_firm ISN'T the ds firmware. they are different

its needed for ds games to run and ds download play is in it you would over write that

eh but think of this its like wii mode on the wiiu twl is ds firmware on the 3ds but not the full ds firmware it does not have the whole menu like the dslite and ds fat

the ds menu is not the only thing removed... PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT!

eh but it runs ds games the same as if you were to run them on a dslite just its blury cause the screens bigger

twl_firm is a 3ds firmware, that puts the 3ds in dsi mode. it's not a ds firmware. period.

eh ds mode has no sd card acess so that needs to be moded its to complicated

ds demos can be run that fit in the ram but could you patch the ram to uses cheats or some thing like that

You could pre-patch the ROM. People used to do that to add AR codes to games.

Well I mean TWL is still used to run DS games, but it goes into a DS mode to do it (kinda like how they have the other mode for AGB_FIRM to run in). It would be misleading to say TWL_FIRM didn't run DS games because it does, just under a more-limited context which expects them to be on a cart and without SD.
