Okay, people, this is a sticky one. My parents have decided they want in on this whole "video games thing". They never liked "complicated games" (read : anything more complicated than tetris), but the great thing with the DS is that it's got games for everybody; I'm mainly looking for board and casino games for my dad, my mother, getting her to play Brain Training once a week is already a miracle, so if you know anything that's for her kind, be my guest.

So, I gave my DSL to my mom with Brain Training and she loves it. My dad is currently hooked on Sega Casino's texas hold'em. I swear he only plays this specific game, dunno if it's even the best poker game on the DS.
Anyway, I need more games for them!

Here's what I already put on the R4 for them :

Polarium
Picross DS
Tetris DS
Sega Casino
42 All-Time Classics
Brain Training 1 and 2
New super Mario (but I doubt they'll even try it)

Since it's a 1 gig MicroSD, I need to fill it up! What do you guys suggest? Have you got into the same situation where your parents get hooked on the DS? Share your thoughts and experiences, and help me turn my poor parents into gaming fanatics!

Eye Training is a good one too, also Quickspot is a fun and easy diversion for your parents. Its a game where you circle the differences between pictures on the top and bottom screens. But, the pictures may be a little too cutesy for them though.

Neves - Tengrams = Simple fun!
Super Collapse 3 - Easy game to pick up

There's also a Crossword game that they might be interested in

I think that cooking mama is best game not only for your mother but for everyone that are interested in cooking (there are real receipts there).

You might want to try Meteos. Kirby Canvas Curse is another good pick, and there's a tutorial so it'd be pretty hard to get lost.

Both are exactly one inch over the "sweet spot" of old-timers difficulty. It's a shame as I think Kirby Canvas Curse is a great game, but... It's not for my folks.
My parents aren't the kind of crosswords people, they'd rather play sudoku. I'll definitely check out the other suggestions!
Keep the suggestions rolling!

Oh ok, i see. I just remembered another puzzle game, Honeycomb Beat. It's an interesting puzzle game, however the style might not suit your parents. I'd also like to throw in Big brain academy since no one has mentioned that yet.

What about games like phoenix wright and hotel dusk? Once they figure the controls out they'll be able to enjoy the game with no prior gaming experience since it's not that hard.

I would say

7 Wonders of the Ancient World

And

Jewel Quest Expeditions

Those two would be my picks, it would be great if some developers would jump on the popcap game series and port it to the DS that would be awesome
