well it might sound stupid but I don't really like having people read over my shoulder when I'm writing stuff... and making a project I'm currently working on open source would make for a similar feeling I think. Then there's the fact that for this I don't want any builds out in the wild until the game is completed. And finally of course the fact that my code is a mess and I don't necessarily want people looking at it.

Well, I might. It's true that it's somewhat unlikely but as I said before I'll do my best to keep my code as clean as possible until release !

Sorry for not posting in a while; as I said on twitter, portal is currently on a bit of a break because I've got a lot going on. I still work on it a bit now and then but not as much as I'd like. So right now I expect to get back to working on it "full time" in a couple of weeks, and then get it released maybe two or three months after that.

hey guys. sorry for the delay, i've been super busy with other projects (and I still am), but I'm trying to get back to work on this. so I just uploaded a video of the in-game level editor :



it works pretty much like portal 2's, although of course it's not quite as complete yet. there are also quite a few graphical glitches, but this is an editor so who cares.
anyway, let me know what you think !

I think it's making good progress. I like how the Level Editor resembles Portal 2's.

I did just try the FPS Maker, However it doesn't work for me.

Editor.nds = Both screens go black and it does nothing
BareGame.nds = Guru Meditation Error Screen

oh crap I just realized I'd forgotten to reply to your post, sorry !
at any rate, this sounds like some sort of filesystem problem. have you tried putting the nds files at your card's root and placing the fpsm folder there too ?

How do you actually play the game? When I start baregame all I can see is a head XD

Happened to me to, Problems with Fat or something, I used HBmenu and still didnt work.

FPSM has already been released and unfortunately won't be getting any updates.
Portal is still being worked on and I don't yet have a fixed release date.
