Hacking DS Carts no longer working?

however many moons ago, i installed reinand CFW onto my N3DSXL. well fast-forward to today, my N3DS is on the latest firmware for reinand and upon trying to play a DS cartridge of Professor Layton, my 3DS just hangs at the black screen. on the other hand, 3DS cartridges still seem to be working. i never experienced this problem before installing the latest firmware and i wanted to know if there was a quick fix for this that i could do?
after learning the process of installing .CIA's, i never looked into anything hacking-related anymore since i figured i wouldn't need to do anything so long as my games work. basically, i am pretty much completely unfamiliar with the process of hacking so simple explanations would be much appreciated!

Has some fixes for ds/dsi stuff not working. But I am not sure how it applies to reinand or if thoses fixes would work for you. Probably useful to look into though.

Seems like it's an issue with ReiNand that still hasn't been patched, so you'd have to wait for a fix.
(I might also suggest switching over to B9S/Luma if you're able to, since it's newer and has more robust support for these kinds of problems.)

how difficult is it to make a switch over to another CFW? i have a few games and save files that i would love to carry over!

I have no idea what reinand you are running but you probably need to switch to b9s if you are on either menuhax or a9lh.

He is running Reinand. They don't have TWL and GBA patching
